ABOUT SILAS VON MORISSE GALLERY (formerly ART 3)

SILAS VON MORISSE GALLERY (originally named ART 3) is a contemporary art gallery established in February 2014 by Silas von Morisse formerly of Haunch of Venison (Christie's NY) and Helly Nahmad Gallery New York. After 5 years at its Bushwick location, the gallery closed its space in July 2018 to change to a different model of operation.

Currently, we collaborate with other galeristes and continue working for our artists by presenting their works on our Online "Viewing Room"; "Private Events" and "Pop Up Shows" in various locations in other cities or countries (see all listed under EXHIBITIONS tab). The gallery created in July 2019 the VON MORISSE ART SALON to present cultural events outside NYC. The gallery also continuous to offer exceptional private works in the Secondary market.

During its 5 years in Bushwick, the gallery presented the first New York Solos shows by Amel Benys, Matthew Cole, Alexis de Chaunac, Juliette Dumas, Anthony Miler, Frauke Schlitz, Owen Schuh, Brett Wallace, Justin Williams.

The program developed to include celebrated artists such as Joe Amrhein, Frances Barth, Richmond Burton, David Goerk, Alain Kirili, Monika Weiss, Marjorie Welish.

The gallery program is multidisciplinary, conceptual and process oriented and aims to nurture the development of new emerging art and present and preserve older generations of artists' work deserving re-introduction.
